...Can't Sleep

I haven't been sleeping well again...I'm going to really regret this in the morning...
but for the first time in about 6 years I actually sat down and wrote out something.  Poetry used to be a HUGE part me, since I was a little kid, but somehow in the stress of life, I forgot how freeing it is to get ideas out on paper....Anyways, I thought I would share it:

I envision it as a tiny meadow
A clearing prayed for after miles and miles of endless cover from the sun.
A silent, still, breathless place
A vast plane of sun and warmth
Utter perfection compared to its surroundings
A gateway to everything anyone could dream
To me, it's a sanctuary from the tangled mess that exists around this ismple elegant place.
To me, it's a tiny meadow surround by a dark, mysterious forest.

...anyways my battery is about to die....goodnight :)

Handmade Stuffies

Lately I have just been obsessed with finding different handmade stuffed dolls and animals!  Some of my favorites, that I plan on owning ASAP (although some are a little pricey......)

These dolls from WildCotton Gifts are precious and only 25 bucks!

These little guys from Skunkboy Creations are SO adorable!  She even makes little owl cake toppers!!!!  I think I wanna order the Norwal for a friends birthday...she would absolutely LOVE it!  They are around 60 bucks.

And these from Jess Brown are absolutely stunning.  They're a little pricey, starting at 136 for the dolls.  However the bunnies are only 45. She even sells changes of clothes!! I love the shoes on the last doll. They are so pretty!

Bit of Whimsy offers patterns for all kinds of DIY rag dolls for 9 bucks. These are SO adorable.  I love the hair!!

These ones are adorable and the cheapest by far only 15-20 bucks!  Nancy & Stitch does dolls and animals!

Over The Top Fashion Swap

Last Saturday, Lindsay and I went to a unique event held at the Winspear.  The largest clothing swap I have ever witnessed, topping 750 people.  It was FANTASTIC!  We got there around 11, and stayed till past 7.

We got to sampled Belinis, ate a delicious lunch from Careit Urban Deli and browsed a bunch of lovely handmade, and local vendors.

Lunet Muse - Etsy / Blog
I bought a lovely purple ring from her...she makes beautiful pieces!
Danni Boii - Etsy

I also bought a lovely shawl for my friend Christine's birthday.  And really wanted to purchase this beautiful hand painted containers made by women in Afghanistan.  Their website isn't working yet, but I hope they post things soon because I really want to buy one for my mom for her birthday.
Of course the most fun...also a bit intense part was the swap.  They had 50 racks of clothes, and I scored a couple blazers, 2 purses, a couple shirts, some dresses,  and a skirt.  Lindsay got some awesome things as well!  We also got some glamour shots done...waiting to get them so I can share! In the mean time we took some pictures in the photobooth.

Product Review: Naturia Dry Shampoo Cont.

So to follow up on the Dry Shampoo, I was a little disappointed that after 2 weeks it ran out...enough so that I decided to try another brand that was a little cheaper per ounce, and also came in a bigger bottle. Oscar Blandi Pronto.
I used it twice and took it back....it made my hair MORE greasy...and it took me 4 shampoos to get the sticky residue out of my hair.  So I went back to Sephora and switched it back for Naturia.  I'm going to see if I can get away with using less, and make it last a little longer...I REALLY love it and I don't think I can give it up...

Also on my trip to Sephora I picked up some new mascara.  I have a ridiculous sensitivity to mascara and can only use natural products or my eyes turn bright red and become super duper itchy.  I bought a mini 2 pack of Fresh to give them a shot...I've been settling since finding amazing mascara without 8 tons of a crap in them is almost impossible.
I'll let you know what I decide!  They both look kind of amazing.....even the bottles are pretty!!!!
